ABOUT

Kouetsu

Indulge in a special night made for grown-up pleasures.

Kouetsu is a distinguished kappo-style restaurant located in Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Formerly a renowned ryotei, it has been reborn with a fresh new spirit.
The interior features a main dining area centered around a counter, accompanied by an adjacent bar, allowing guests to relax and enjoy their meal without formality. Decorative transoms and other elements from the previous establishment have been thoughtfully reused, creating a space that harmoniously blends nostalgia with modernity.
Loved by many as a premier kappo restaurant that fulfills the desires of discerning adults, Kouetsu is the perfect place for those looking to spend a special moment in Akasaka.

At Kouetsu, a wide variety of dishes made with seasonal ingredients are offered. Popular homestyle dishes include sweet Kanto-style tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet), potato salad, and simmered daikon radish (furofuki daikon). Additionally, you can enjoy dishes prepared with premium ingredients such as softshell turtle hot pot (suppon marunabe) and deep-fried pufferfish (fugu karaage).
As shuko (sake accompaniments), there are over 20 kinds, including delicacies like monkfish liver (ankimo) and salted squid entrails (konowata), which pair exceptionally well with Japanese sake. It is common to see regular customers savoring these dishes alone at their own pace, enjoying a relaxed and free dining style.

A moment of sake to forget the bustle of the city.

Whether for business entertaining or a casual drink, both suit the atmosphere perfectly.
Soft lighting glows behind shoji screens, accompanied by warm and attentive service.
In the heart of Akasaka, we quietly create evenings that make you want to pause and savor the moment.
